Ed Davis, Director of Special Projects and Mike Liles, President of the Friends of Stones River National Battlefield presented to Walmart and Store Manager Tim Fox a Certificate of Appreciation for all their help this past 'Cleanup Day at the Park' last month on April 16.

The event had a goal of cleaning the Old Fort Park and Greenway of debris and invasive plants. This year's event had more than 400 volunteers to help in the project.

The Walmart Stores of Murfreesboro fed the volunteers lunch. President of the Friends of the Stones River National Battlefield Mike Liles said, "These volunteers work hard to clean the Park and remove the invasive plants; they really appreciation the sandwich and chips provided by the Walmart stores. This is a great community service to all that participate."
