A Walmart loss prevention worker chased a shoplifter through the store parking lot in an attempt to nab a man suspected of stealing groceries from the new Memorial Boulevard store in Murfreesboro. When police arrived, they witnessed the foot chase and joined in capturing 21-year old Darryl D. Russell who lives on Northfield Blvd.

Once officers spoke to the loss prevention worker, it was learned that Russell was also suspected of stealing over $600 worth of food products earlier in the day at the Old Fort Parkway Walmart. This time around, he allegedly shoplifted about $400 worth of grocery items from the Memorial Boulevard location where he was caught. The incident was captured on surveillance video that showed Russell with a shopping cart loaded with food.
