Murfreesboro Police went to a home on East State Street where they took possession of two guns and ammunition. Officers went to the house due to the possibility of the guns being used in several shootings in the area, according to the report.
At the home, Police met with the residents of the house who did not want the ammunition and weapons on their property.
Police say the residents signed over to the MPD:
- High point .40 cal. Firearm
- Ithaca 12 gauge shotgun
- Two .40 cal. Magazines
- .45 cal. Magazine
- Five .45 cal. Bullets
- Ten .40 cal. Bullets
- Five 12 gauge shells
- 1 gun holster
Due to the fact that the guns are part of an active investigation, names are not being released. The guns were placed into evidence and information about arrests have not been made available.
