Police conducted a welfare check on an 82-year old woman found to be living alone in a home in Murfreesboro. When police arrived they learned that the female had recently been released from StoneCrest Hospital in Smyrna. She was unable to walk and officers helped to transfer her from a chair to her wheelchair.

Inside the house, officers learned that all she had to eat were crackers. However, she told police that she was in the process of notifying Meals on Wheels. It was also learned that she has no family members who are able to help her and she lacked a home phone and did not know where her cell phone was located.
