Wenlon Drive Shots Fired Ends in Arrest

A Weybridge Drive man was arrested after Murfreesboro Police responded to shots fired and a domestic disturbance.

Officers Eric Casper and Phillip Simpson responded to the Vie at Murfreesboro apartments on Wenlon Drive around 4:15 Friday morning. They reported hearing gunfire coming from the rear of the "6" building.

The suspect, 18-year old Travis Benjamin Harrison, Jr., was arrested after authorities believe he hid a gun. A 9mm Glock 26 was found under the doormat of one apartment. Meantime, Harrison had to be forcibly removed after trying to enter an apartment.

Harrison faces two counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and possession of a firearm. Bond was set at nine-thousand dollars.
