Above: This photo was taken when WGNS was above the French Shop on the Murfreesboro Square. Pictured is Bill Barry who passed away in 2013.

A lot has changed over the years, but one thing in our community has remained constant. WGNS continues to provide local residents with local news, local sports coverage and local information. While Jan. 1st rang in a new year, it also rang in the 67th anniversary for WGNS. John Young describes what it was like in '47...

67-Years later, WGNS is still locally owned. Today, we broadcast on not only the original AM 1450, but also FM 100.5, FM 101.9 and streaming WGNS apps via your Smart Phone or WGNSradio.com.
