In one of two alleged bomb threats on Monday, a worker at the Imperial Inn on NW Broad Street in Murfreesboro says that a man who was caught arguing with his ex-wife threatened to blow the hotel up that afternoon. The motel employee said that after hearing the argument he asked the male to leave the property because he did not believe that suspect Dontaze Brickley was a registered guest. The report suggested that after the hotel worker said he would call the police, Dontaze said he would “come back and blow the place up.” One witness confirmed the statement.
While the offense was labeled as a “bomb threat” on the incident report, the suspect was not charged with making such a threat. The 30-year old was however charged with filing a false report and violation of probation. The false report charge was because of the bomb threat, according to the arrest report.
