Who fired shots into two Rutherford County churches?

The numbers mark the places where someone fired six rounds into Kings Chapel Independent Missionary Baptist Church at 1151 East Jefferson Pike.

Identity of the person who fired several rounds into two churches and damaged the buildings from Sunday through Wednesday are sought by a Rutherford County Sheriff's detective.

Someone fired rounds into two glass doors and a window at Zion Hill Baptist Church at 5121 Leanna Road, said Deputy Jimmy Tedder. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

Deputy Chris Beach reported someone fired six rounds into Kings Chapel Independent Missionary Baptist Church at 1151 East Jefferson Pike. The rounds damaged the doors and a public address system. Damage was set at $1,450.

Detective R. Brinkley, who is investigating, asked anyone who has information about the shootings to call him at 615-904-3045.
