Linebaugh Public Library is hosting local author, Judy Jennings at 7:00 o'clock Tuesday evening, July 10, 2018, for a talk entitled, "Widowhood: Become a better version of your former self."

Jennings will share highlights from her book, The Wonderful World of Widowhood...Except when it Isn't. This talk is open to all, but women who are newly widowed and feel stuck in the tunnel of grief are encouraged to attend. Jennings will be in the Linebaugh Board Room on the 2nd floor.

Judy Towne Jennings, a Murfreesboro resident, shares that too often, the loneliness and loss of self that is felt by widowed seniors is dismissed by family and friends. Her book asserts that great things can happen, even after the death of a spouse. Her book offers hope and encouragement for those suffering a catastrophic life change.

  • Journaling emotions of grief can help quell anger and bring comfort.
  • The need for unconditional love and reawakened passion does not have an expiration date. A second love can be magical.
  • Miracles orchestrated by the God of the Universe can happen for anyone.

Ms. Jennings received her physical therapy degree from the University of Iowa, and her Masters from Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati. Her first book, Living with Lewy Body Dementia, One Caregiver's Personal, In-Depth Experience, is touching caregiver's all over the globe.
