Red light cameras are banned in about 8 states across the U.S. and Tennessee is not one of those states. However, one lawmaker continues to talk about the idea of outlawing the cameras in the Volunteer State by year 2020.

The lawmaker behind the push to end red light cameras is Andy Holt from Dresden, TN. He plans to introduce a proposal to end the cameras in 2020.
