Williamson County victim falls victim to Murfreesboro Fraud

A man who has not been to Murfreesboro in about six months saw on a bank statement that his lack of visits did not stop his debit card from being used in Rutherford County.

Reports indicate the Williamson County man called Murfreesboro Police after he found out his bank debit card had been used at Toys R' Us, Target, Dollar General, Staples and Home Depot - all in Murfreesboro. Even though the 50-year old victim has his debit card in his possession, over $2,000 was spent as if someone else had his card.

The good news... Target has video surveillance footage of the suspect using the card in question. The bad news... an arrest has not been made at this point.
