A 30-year old Murfreesboro woman accidently fired her shotgun into the floor of her apartment. While the sound obviously caused some concern around 10:00 Monday night, no one was injured. The incident occurred at Westbury Farms Apartments.

When police arrived on the scene they learned the female accidently discharged the gun while taking it out of the closet. She was in the process of placing by her bedside while she slept. The apartment floor is made of concrete, so it did not penetrate the unit below hers. No charges were filed.
