A woman in need of work posted an ad on Nashville.CraigsList.org in hopes of finding a viable job. She was soon met with correspondence via a text message from a man who wanted to hire her as an assistant at his company.

The text was followed about a day later with a check for $2,550. The check was supposedly for office supplies. The 19-year old victim deposited the check, withdrawing $200. The next day she got a call from her bank telling her the check was a fake.
