Most would admit, it is not normal behavior to climb into a drive-thru window at a fast food eatery. However abnormal that may be, it happened at McDonalds on South East Broad Street in Murfreesboro on St. Patty's Day.

Police were called to the Murfreesboro restaurant at about 4:30 in the morning on Tuesday for a welfare check after a female climbed into the restaurant via the drive-thru window. Once inside, staff say she started acting "abnormal," as if climbing through the window was not abnormal enough. Officers say the woman would not talk to them, but was talking to herself.

An ambulance was called to McDonalds so that paramedics could help determine what may be wrong with the female in question. Police used "soft, empty hand control" to physically place the 27-year old woman on a stretcher when she refused to speak to paramedics on the scene. She was swiftly transported to the hospital to be evaluated. No arrest was made and no one was injured.

Further information on what may have been affecting the condition of the female, medically speaking, cannot be released due to HIPAA regulations. HIPAA is the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. The act protects the confidentiality and security of healthcare information.
