What is called an "Elopement" was reported at TrustPoint Hospital in Murfreesboro on Wednesday afternoon. Authorities converged on Thompson Lane and searched the area around the medical building, but could not immediately locate the woman.

An elopement is when a person leaves a facility without proper permission or notification. The situation is called an elopement when the individual that left is in a potentially dangerous situation by leaving against the will of the medical staff at the facility in which they are being held.

Apparently, the person who left the behavioral health facility on Thompson Lane left with her regular clothing on and not medical patient attire like some patients are required to wear. That of course made the search more difficult.

After the woman fled TrustPoint Hospital, she alluded police for several hours. However, she was eventually tracked down and picked up by authorities in the area of Longhorn Steakhouse on John R. Rice Boulevard.

Luckily, the woman who escaped the hospital was captured unharmed.
