Worlds Largest Square Dance - Rehearsal This Sunday (6/26/16)

Kicking off Uncle Dave Macon Days this year will involve kicking off your heals and may land you in the Guinness Book of World Records... for Square Dancing.

The World's Largest Square Dance will be on the Historic Murfreesboro Square July 7th at 7pm. And just a heads up... you don't have to know how to square dance ahead of time.

A rehearsal for the event will take place this Sunday (6/26/16) afternoon on the Murfreesboro Square at 2:00. Gloria Christy said that the last rehearsal went great!

The Southeast Tourism Society has named the 39th Annual Uncle Dave Macon Days Festival one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast for July, 2016.

This year's festival will be held July 8-9 at the Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro.

Again, new for 2016 - guests can get their chance to make a Guinness World Record for the "Largest Square Dance" on the Murfreesboro square on July 7.

To be a part of the square dancing event on July 7th, show up at the Murfreesboro Civic Plaza and take a quick lesson while signing up at 6:00 on the evening of July 7th. Then at 7PM, you and about 800 of your closest friends will walk to the Murfreesboro Square where the Guinness Book of World Records "Square Dance Record" will be broken.
