(MURFREESBORO) There's just something festive about Meredith Wilson's musical "The Music Man". A Barber Shop Quartet, stuffy town mayor, and a flock of River City busybodies makes this family friendly performance the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.

Just in time to get you in the holiday spirit, an all youth cast of Perform Murfreesboro presents this classic on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30PM and 2:00 o'clock Sunday matinees, November 15-24, 2019 in the Washington Theatre at the Patterson Community Center.

The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize - this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

The all-youth cast members of Perform Murfreesboro present the full-length production of The Music Man the last two weekends in November at The Washington Theatre. Admission is $10 per person. Tickets are available at: https://www.ticketpeak.com/performmurfreesboro.
