Counterfeit money continues to be a problem for area businesses. Zaxby’s on Rutherford Boulevard was the most recent victim. A worker at the restaurant told police a female passed off the money as being real when she placed an order at the drive-thru. The $20 bill was evidently accepted and after the customer paid for her meal, she drove away. So far, she has not been caught.
In August, we told you about police looking for three men who allegedly used fake cash at the Target store on Old Fort Parkway. Those subjects have yet to be arrested.
