A partnership between MTSU, the local African-American community and Oakland Mansion are researching local history in Rutherford County. African American Hewritage Society of Rutherford County President Mary Watkins and Oakland Mansion's Executive Director James Manning update us on studies dealing with slaves buried in Section M of the Evergreen Cemetery.
Historical presentations will be presented at Oaklands Mansion (900 N. Maney Ave.) on:
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday (April 8, 9 and 10, 2022) 7:30PM Rutherford County Arts Alliance presents a historical play about the "PARTY OF TWELVE", a play about the leading ladies who made Rutherford County what it is today will be performed in the Washington Theatre of the Patterson Community Center.
