Do you enjoy meeting new friends, getting healthier, traveling? The Cripple Creek Cloggers are offering free lessons at the Smyrna Senior Center (100 Raikes St.) at 4:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon on January 28th, February 4th, 11th and 25th.
Founder Steve Cates said, "In August we're heading to Belgium. These classes start with the basics and get your ready to have fun. Plus, classes are free."
He encouraged everyone, "Be on time so we can start at 4 and finish on time."

Proposal for 2018 travel: BELGIUM - August 9( departure from Nashville )/August 10 ( arrival in Brussels, Belgium; August 19 ( depart Brussels and return to Nashville)
August 10 -16 - INTERNATIONAL DANS-EN MUZIEKFESTIVAL KA-DANS TORHOUT, Torhout, Belgium, near the coast of Belgium - Hosting is with guest-families - Special tourist excursion to Brughes - Other countries confirmed, Macdeonia, Bolivia, India, Italy (Sicily) - Guest-families often organize special excursions, activities, etc.
August 15-19 (Yes, there is a bit of an overlap, but the two festivals work this out between themselves!) - 44th International Festival of Bonheiden, Belgium, in the center of the country - Hosting is with guest-families - Special tourist excursion to Brussels - Other countries confirmed, Nepal, Martinique, France - Guest families often organize activities, excursions, etc., including possible travel to Antwerp ( very near) and also some "interesting towns within a 15 to 20 km radius: Leuven (Louvain), Lier, etc."
Musicians are being contacted about these potential dates.
Four couples, as usual, will be necessary for the Cripple Creek Cloggers to make the trip. These festivals will be needing to know very soon if we accept their invitation.
International FolkFest in Murfreesboro
The 36th International FolkFest is scheduled for Murfreesboro this coming June 10, 17, 2018. Meet folk music troupes from Sweden, Mexico, Italy, and our host group will be the Cripple Creek Cloggers featuring Uncle Shuffelo and His Haint Hollow Hootenanny. You'll be hearing more about that on WGNS as we near summer.
