Ricky Lynn Vaughn age 60 of LaVergne died Sunday September 17,
2023. He was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death
by his parents, Bobby Walker Vaughn and Myrtle Potts Vaughn also, a
brother Jerry Wayne Vaughn who died January 2023.
Mr. Vaughn worked in construction for most of his life and was a
devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Susan Vaughn; daughter, Jessica
Rippie and husband Terry; six grandchildren; brothers; Billy Joe
Vaughn, Kenneth Vaughn; a sister, Linda Vaughn.
Cremation arrangements are being made with Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
Vickie Renita Zitney, age 67 of Murfreesboro died Tuesday September
19, 2023. She was a native of Bedford County and was preceded in
death by her father, Dorris Darnell and mother, Juanita Smelcer Darnell
who died in April of 2023.
Mrs. Zitney was Christian and retired from State Farm Insurance
Company . She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Zitney is survived by her husband 49 years, Steven Zitney;
children, Brad Zitney, Blake Zitney and wife Becca; grandchildren,
Brody Zitney, Rhett Zitney; brother, Scott Darnell and wife Rhonda;
niece, Britney Darnell Warren, and husband Jamie; nephew, Brandon
Visitation will be 12 Noon Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be 2:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Milford Ervin Busho, 97, died on Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Waters nursing
home in Shelbyville, Tennessee. He had been in the nursing home for a year after losing
his ability to walk after having had COVID.
Milford was originally from Austin, Minnesota. He was the son of Albert Busho and
Regina (Klecker) Busho. He married Elaine Carole Babcock in 1948. They had three
children, Connie, Craig, and Carole. Milford outlived all three of his children.
During World War II Milford was in the Army and often talked about Iwo Jima and how
he cared about the people he had met there. After the war he had a long career as an
electrical lineman for Austin Utilities.
Milford was also called “Bud”. He was an active member in several Baptist churches in
Minnesota, and also in other places that he lived. During his retirement he lived in
Texas, Alabama, and Tennessee. His hobbies were gardening and woodworking.
He is survived by his daughter’s family, Chuck Gard, Lindsay and Bryan Baxter, and
Jared and Jessica Gard; his son’s family, Barbara and Susanna Busho, and Andrew and
Tammie Blake. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Franklin
Road Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. A funeral service is planned at the Clasen-
Jordan Mortuary in Austin, MN on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11:00 am, with burial to
follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Miss Riley Ann Netherland, age 9, of Murfreesboro, TN lost her battle with
mitochondrial disease Monday, September 18, 2023. She was born in Murfreesboro to
Braden and Alisha Netherland. Riley was in fourth grade at John Pittard Elementary
School. She attended New Vision Baptist Church with her family. Riley loved animals
especially all kinds of birds, being outside, and going fishing. She enjoyed pulling pranks
on people. She loved holidays from Halloween to Christmas. Riley had such a bright
personality. Throughout her treatment, she kept a positive outlook doing what she could
to cheer up those around her.
Riley is survived by her parents, Braden and Alisha Netherland; brother, Hutton
Netherland; grandmother, Lisa Wyatt; aunts and uncles, Khameron Khamphilavong,
Daniel Netherland and his wife Linda, India Smithson and her husband Ben, and
Madison Netherland; and great-aunts and great-uncles, Sally Wynn, Joe and Jan
Netherland, and Rita Alford. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Khamleck
Khamphilavong and Ed Netherland, and great-uncle, Fred Wynn.

Mrs. Grace Lamb Ford, age 84, of Smyrna, TN passed away September 18, 2023, in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born in Marshall County, TN, and was a daughter of the late James Scott Lamb and Sarah Alice Wilson Lamb. Mrs. Grace was of the Methodist faith and later worshipped in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was retired from clerical work. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Lester Ford, and siblings, William Lamb, Sarah Lamb Wiley, Horace Lamb, and James Lamb.
Mrs. Grace loved traveling with her family. She enjoyed watching the races at the Nashville Speedway. She had a passion for growing flowers, cooking for everyone, and watching movies and wrestling. Most of all, she loved her family.
Mrs. Ford is survived by her beloved, loyal, and loving son, Andy Ray of Smyrna, TN; sister, Margaret (Pete) Tucker of Eagleville, TN; brother, Ralph Lamb of Chapel Hill, TN; sisters-in-law, Martha (Richard) Thomas of Smyrna, TN, Annette Burns of Shelbyville, TN, Penny Dunaway of Unionville, TN; brother-in-law, Larry (Susan) Ray of Unionville, TN; former husband, Wayne Ray of Rockvale, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, September 22, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Guinn officiating. Interment will follow at Eady Cemetery near Chapel Hill, TN.
Jason Frederick Grady Rowland, age 71 of Murfreesboro died Sunday
September 17, 2023. He was native of Rutherford County and was
preceded in death by his parents, Grady G. Rowland, Betty Sue Taylor
Rowland and son, Jeremy Rowland.
He is survived by his children, Michael Rowland and wife Kate, Jaron
Rowland, Kaleb Rowland, Lisa Rowland; grandchildren, Emma
Rowland and Lily Rowland; brothers, Bill Rowland and wife Debbie,
Doye Rowland and wife Betty, Brent Rowland and wife Patricia.
Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial
Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday at Woodfin
Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in Rocky Glade Cemetery.

Ms. Minnie Sue Curl, age 87, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Saturday, August 26,
2023. Sue was born in Waverly, TN, Humphreys County, on September 11, 1935. She
went to Ellis Grove Elementary School and Waverly Central High School, graduating as
Salutatorian in 1952.
Sue worked at The National Store in Waverly for a number of years before moving to
Nashville, going to business college, and later graduating from Belmont University with
honors. She worked at Belmont University for 39 years and earned her CPA
accreditation before retiring.
Sue was a member of Ellis Grove Presbyterian Church in Waverly. When she moved to
Nashville, she joined West Side Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She later joined First
Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro.
Sue is survived by her sister, May Curl Glover, and nine nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents, William Lee Curl and Mary Lane Curl; sisters, Grace
Lane Curl, Mattie Curl Spann, Myrtle Curl Spann, and Mary Lee Curl Langford; and
brothers, William Russell Curl and Andrew Ray Curl.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, September 1, 2023 from 9:00am until 10:00am
at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro. A Celebration of Life and
Witness to the Rescurrection will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at 10:00am at First
Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will take place Friday, September 1, 2023 at
1:00pm at Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly.
