Melvin Jones

Melvin “ David” Jones, age 73 of Lascassas died Friday November 28, 2025. He
was a native of Knox County in Arminda Community, and was preceded in death
by his parents, Melvin B. Jones and Mary Sue Travis Jones; sister, Wilma Reece;
brother, Kenneth Jones; nephews Michael David Jones, Michael Chriss Jones.
Mr. Jones had a long career working with Water Treatment Plants across the
United States. He retired from Consolidated Utility District. He was a devoted
husband and G Dad.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary "Sissy" Jones; children,
Candice Jones, David Scott Jones and wife Elena; Grandchildren, Aden Charlton,
Colver Jones, Caisley Jones, Sister, Shirley Hart and husband Steve; Brother,
Chriss Jones and wife Sharon.
Visitation will be Monday December 8 th 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodfin
Memorial Chapel. Graveside service Tuesday December 9 th 11:00AM at Bradley

Elmer Blake Jackson
Mr. Elmer Blake Jackson, Jr., age 98, of Antioch, TN passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025. He was born in Toulon, IL to the late Elmer B. Jackson, Sr. and Mae Jackson. Mr. Jackson proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years before embarking on another 20+ year career with IBM. He was of the Catholic faith and is joining the love of his life of 60 years, Lottie Jackson.
 
Mr. Jackson is survived by his daughter, Terri Adelman.

William Hollingsworth

William “Bill” L. Hollingsworth, a man of steadfast faith, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to family and country, passed peacefully in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, surrounded by the loved ones who meant everything to him. Born on July 26, 1934, in the small town of Seville, Florida, Bill grew up with strong roots, deep values, and a heart shaped early by faith. At just ten years old, he accepted Christ, a commitment that guided him throughout his life and inspired the gentle, servant-hearted way he lived.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Joanne Hollingsworth, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and unwavering support. He is also preceded by his mother, Mertyle Hollingsworth; his father, Willie Hollingsworth; and his sister, Bonnie Jowers. He leaves behind a family who adored him and will carry his memory forward with gratitude: His children: Kim Harmon, Kathy Carey, David Baltimore (Jennifer), and Jacque Spintzyk (Chris)

His grandchildren: Bradley Harmon (Steffany), Jake Harmon (Sami), Megan Himschoot (Greg), William Carey, Clay Baltimore, Tate Baltimore, Anna Norris, Hunter Norris, Delaney Spintzyk, and Nick Spintzyk,

Graveside service will be Saturday December 6th 11:00AM at Evergreen Cemetery. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.


Joyce Gresham
Mrs. Joyce LaVern Gresham, age 95, of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at her home. She was born in Altus, OK to the late Cordell and Ruth Flowers Robertson. Mrs. Gresham was a “Rosie the Riveter” in California after World War II. Her strong work ethic continued in her care for her family. Mrs. Gresham was a great cook and made sure her children knew how to cook as well. She was a long time member of Stones River Baptist Church.
 
Mrs. Gresham is survived by her children, Edna Goodman, Paula Thompson, and Chris Gresham and his wife Teresa; brother, Donald Robertson; sister, Tommie Ables; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Claud Gresham; brother, Charles Robertson; sister, Patsy Dickenson; and two grandchildren.
 
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 12:00noon until 2:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery.
