Soon, foreign groups who will participate will be confirmed by the Planning Council, which is composed of volunteers from the dance group and from among former dancers and other interested persons in the Middle Tennessee area.
The main goal of Cripple Creek Cloggers is to preserve and teach Appalachian -style square dancing with a clogging step, the traditional dancing of the pioneer settlers in Tennessee. They perform wearing traditional costumes of the early 1800s and accompanied by live music of the period.
