Homeless man in Murfreesboro robbed at Gunpoint

Robbed at gunpoint after being offered a ride...

A homeless man in Murfreesboro told police that he was offered a ride from a fast food restaurant on Thompson Lane back to his campsite. Once in the truck that was described as red in color, the two men drove to a local motel instead of the campsite.

When they arrived at the Sleep Inn parking lot, the men in the truck reportedly robbed the victim. However, the victim didn't have any cash.

At gun point the men in the truck demanded that the victim empty his pockets. It was at that point the 37 year old handed over the only possession he had... a black cellphone with duct tape holding the back of together.

After the robbery the men fled the scene. No arrests have been reported.
