Following Friday night's sweep, the pressure was on the boys teams to bring the entire 4-Triple-A Tournament back to Siegel. All four teams followed through. On WGNS, the Siegel boys dominated Lawrence County 73-38. The Stars were up one at the end of the first quarter, but came out in the second on fire. They won the second quarter 26-to-7 and never looked back. Despite playing against the 6-6 and 6-4 Wildcat post players, Siegel dominated the board, outrebounding Lawrence County 39-14. Senior Ryan Jones led the Stars with 19 points. Braxton Eddings had 12. Dominique Gooch and Aden Burton each had 10 points.

Siegel's win, coupled with Smyrna's 75-65 win at Columbia pit the two district foes against each other Tuesday night. Blackman cruised to a 69-41 win over Coffee County and La Vergne went to Franklin County and dominated the Rebels 76-43. The Blaze and Wolverines will play for the sixth time this season Tuesday.
Coming up on WGNS, on Monday, it's the girls region semifinals. Coverage begins at 5:50 with a tipoff in the Oakland / Smyrna game at 6. It will be followed at 7:30 by Blackman versus Riverdale. The Tuesday night boys semifinals will be a rematch of the district semis. Siegel versus Smyrna at 6, followed by Blackman versus La Vergne. WGNS pregame coverage begins at 5:50, right after All Sports Talk. Semifinal winners will play in the region finals and will receive a sectional tournament berth, just one game away from playing in the Blue Cross Basketball Championships.
