Murfreesboro's Carlton Miller Visits Edinburgh Library

Murfreesboro's Carlton Miller at the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh. Notice that he is wearing the popular Linebaugh Library' "What do you geek" shirt.

Last year's Friends of Linebaugh Library President Carlton Miller is enjoying the sights of Scotland. Being a lover of books, the Murfreesboro resident made it a point to stop at the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh.

In fact, he wanted to show respect for the hallowed halls by taking his coat off to them. That was a challenge, since the temps there were 30-degrees.

And while we're talking about the Friends of Linebaugh Library, the group's annual luncheon at the Woman's Club at 221 East College Street is scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2014. Local Author Brenda Rickman Vantrease is the guest speaker. Only FOL members whose 2014 dues are paid, are eligible to attend. For more information, phone the Linebaugh Public Library at 615-893-4131.
