Publix Super Markets is also dedicated to making an impact. Publix takes its employees on tours of United Way partner programs so that they can see the difference they are making by participating with United Way. Publix also contributed supplies for the 2013 Stuff the Bus, which benefited at-risk children in the community. Publix has a corporate culture of giving back. The founder of Publix, George Jenkins, was once asked, "If you hadn't given away so much, how much do you think you would be worth today?" His response, without hesitation: "Probably nothing.”

Ford of Murfreesboro participates with United Way on a local level as well. Ford of Murfreesboro recently gave $3,000 as part of the 2013 Stuff the Bus to purchase school supplies for at-risk children in the community.   The dealership also provides a board member to United Way and encourages its employees to invest in the community, resulting in many loyal contributors.
