At the end of the program, Judy Homan represented the AARP, and she told of questions from audience members at that organization's political forum last week at the St. Clair Street Senior Center. Audience members suggested that drug tests be given to candidates for the office of sheriff. Reportedly, all of the four candidates strongly agreed to take the test. However, there were no drug tests available at the AARP forum. 

WGNS was made aware of this situation, and it was decided to invite Chad Mills with Mills' Family Pharmacy on South Church Street to administer these tests. 

This opportunity was presented to all candidates, and they agreed it was important that the public's concerns be answered.  

All four candidates took the test. Chad Mills reported that the results for each person was "NEGATIVE". [You can hear Mills' report on the podcast of the Truman Show (7/16/2014). It is approximately half-way through the program and occurs during the 9:30AM break for weather.]
