A 31 year old female in Murfreesboro was the victim of a road rage incident that turned physical on Tuesday.

The rage started when the victim slammed on her brakes to avoid striking another car. The driver in the other vehicle apparently did not like what occurred as he was accused of getting out of his car and yelling at the woman. While in the middle of the rage, he allegedly pulled out a knife and started to wave it in the air. The victim and her niece stayed in the car as the man spewed words of what sounded like anger to the victim and wittnesses.

Two bystanders saw the incident unfold and attempted to intervene. When they stepped in the man threatened to stab them, according to a police report. One of the witnesses grabbed a chainsaw out of his vehicle to defend himself and the armed suspect quickly retreated.

The suspect has been identified and warrants for felony reckless endangerment have been filed for the arrest of 25 year old Justin Conners. As of Wednesday afternoon, he has not been captured.

Records show that "Justin Conners" has a lengthy history of arrests. Some of the past crimes he has been arrested for include child abuse, burglary to an auto, drug possession and theft.

In 2010, Conners was arrested when he allegedly shook his two month old son to the point where the child started to have seizures. A police report shows that Justin Conners admitted to shaking the infant "because the child was crying. He stated that he 'lost his temper' and was unaware he had injured the child until the child started having seizures later that evening."
