Some State Representatives are FOR and Some are AGAINST Medical Marijuana in Tennessee - What Does Your State Rep. Say?

State Representative Mike Sparks tells WGNS that the legalization of marijuana will likely be an issue this year in the state legislature. Sparks said that he was against medical marijuana and that the pill form of the drug is already legal in our state.

Sparks said that he will not vote for the legalization of medical marijuana, regardless of what focus groups or studies may suggest.

Pill form of marijuana:

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the active chemical in cannabis and is often prescribed to treat or prevents nausea and vomiting caused by cancer medicines, when other medicines do not work. Also used to increase the appetite of people with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
