Experience a "Southern Fried Funeral" starting this coming Friday (5/30) at the Arts Center of Cannon County in neighboring Woodbury. In fact, it runs Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30PM through June 14th; along with 2:00 o'clock Sunday matinees on June 1st and 8th. Phone 615-563-ARTS (2787) for more information or to make reservations.

When Dewey Frye drops dead in the middle of a Rotary meeting, half the town of New Edinburgh, Mississippi turns out for his funeral, whether his widow wants them to or not. And goodness knows she already has her hands full, with feuding daughters and a no-good brother-in-law to deal with. Laugh-out-loud funny, this big-hearted comedy offers an affectionate look at Southern family manners and traditions.

Directed by Donald Fann and produced by Brittany Goodwin, this production features Rachael Parker, Melanie Nilstead, Brittany Goodwin, David Lannom, Becky Coutras, Donna Seage, Scarlett Turney, Candy Ford, John Goodwin, Phil Mote, Mark Thomas, and Larry Sanders. Ticket prices are $13 with discounts available for seniors and full time students.
