Murfreesboro Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred around 2:45 Thursday afternoon on Thompson Lane at Riverbend Drive.

A VW SUV and a Chrysler mini-van were involved, and the mini-van hit a tree near the turn-in to the Riverbend subdivision.

With Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue's hall #7 only a few hundred feet away, and the Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services station a little over a mile away--emergency responders were on-the-scene almost immediately.
