The Highland Terrace Pharmacy off of North Highland Avenue, near the old Murfreesboro Medical Clinic Office was broken into on Wednesday morning. Police responded to the small blue pharmacy after an alarm was reported at the business. Once officers were on the scene, they quickly saw this was not an ordinary break-in.

Officer S. Harris saw a ladder leaning up against the side of the building. Upon inspection, a hole was found on top of the building and a wooden vent was pried off. Phone lines were cut and an electric meter was also pulled at the pharmacy prior to police arrival. The only problem, the burglar who caused the early morning damage was no where to be found.

Once the owner arrived on the scene, it was realized that nothing had been taken. Evidently, the burglar could not get to the prescription drugs he likely desired.

The case was turned over to MPD Detectives. At this point, a suspect has not been named.
