Wine in Grocery Stores Could Come Sooner

A Nashville Democrat is proposing legislation that would allow wine to be grocery stores this July. You'll recall last November, wine in grocery stores passed in Murfreesboro and Smyrna, along with several mid-state cities and towns. The referendum passed allowed for wine to be sold in groceries and supermarkets in 2016. However, Representative Bo Mitchell and other supporters don't want to wait that long. His bill will be among those being considered on Capitol Hill in Nashville when the General Assembly returns on January 13th.
