(MURFREESBORO) This is a milestone year, the Stones River Craft Association's ART STUDIO TOUR celebrates it 25th anniversary this weekend. Eight local studios are open to the public Saturday and Sunday from 10:00AM until 5:00PM. For more information, and a map of where the studios are located, visit www.ArtStudioTour.org.
Once a year our local craft artists of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County open their studios to the public, offering a unique and wide selection of artwork and demonstrations.
Whether you are a long time collector or new to appreciating fine craft, you will find some of the Stones River area's finest forged iron, pottery, stained glass, weaving, wood work, fine jewelry and functional home accessories.
Established in 1993, the Annual Art Studio Tour has given visitors a glimpse into the working studios of the local artisans and craftsmen. Mastering various elements, the artists produce one-of-a-kind treasures for you to bring home.
To get a better feel for what the Art Studio Tour is all about, on Friday morning (11/16/2018) WGNS spoke with Sue Allen, Joe Brown, Judy Heim, and Logan Hickerson about this milestone 25th Annual event:
