A free child safety seat inspection will be hosted by the Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department on Thursday, January 19th. The free event will confirm that your child's seat is properly installed. If it is not, certified experts will teach guest how to install the seat to the specifications of the manufacture.

The Child Safety Seat Installation Station will be at Fire Station number 2 on South Church Street, directly across from the Insbrooke Kroger Store next to Indian Hills.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a report in 2015 that showed 6% of parents don't use a child car seat and 2% of children are not buckled in at all.

The estimated misuse of child safety seats rings in at 46%. If that number were broken down, 61% incorrectly install forward facing seats and 49% install the rear facing infant seats incorrectly.
