What has been labeled "The Fetal Heartbeat Bill" passed the House in the Tennessee General Assembly but was later moved to "Study" this summer by the Senate Judiciary Committee. The stalled bill deals with abortion in Tennessee.

In 2017 a previous revision of the bill was labeled as "Constitutionally suspect" by the Tennessee Attorney General's Office.
