Child Advocacy Center says Offer Support on #GIVINGTUESDAY

Murfreesboro — “#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical community support,” said Child Advocacy Center Development Coordinator Katie Enzor.  “Every act of giving back counts and everyone has something to contribute toward building a better world we can all live in.”

In 2012 a simple idea was formed – no contribution is too small. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor, showing up for an issue or community programs we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, one simple act has the power to change someone’s life.

“United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties is matching $1,000 for the first 10 organizations to raise $1,000 in online donations on November 29th. Any donation made through GiveGab can help us become one of these organizations.” encouraged Enzor.

“Since 2000, the Child Advocacy Center has served 41,538 people and positively impacted the lives of 12% of the population of Rutherford County. Last year, the Center served 1,968 clients, including 1,188 children and 780 parents and grandparents,” continued Enzor. “The children and families that we help are the true successes of the program.”

There are four ways for you to get involved on #GivingTuesday:

The Child Advocacy Center works as a multi-disciplinary team with the Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, medical professionals, mental health counselors, and the District Attorney’s Office to respond to child abuse cases, protect children, arrest perpetrators, aggressively prosecute offenders, help children heal from the trauma, and help families rebuild their shattered lives.
