Armed Robbery with a Knife in Murfreesboro

An armed robbery was reported at the Villager Apartments / Condominiums on Middle Tennessee Boulevard Wednesday night around 7.

The 19 year old victim told police that he gave a ride to an unknown man who looked to be in his fifties. The victim advised that he picked the man up from Ashwood Cove Apartments and drove him to the Villager Apartments. At the end of that ride the assailant produced a silver kitchen knife while demanding money. The victim handed over his cash and the attacker jumped out of the vehicle and ran towards Greenland Drive leaving his knife in the victims car.

Police took the knife as evidence and the victim said the subject got away with about $50. So far he has not been caught.

Description:

The attacker appeared to be in his fifties. He was described as a black male wearing a gray polo shirt and dark shorts with white shoes. He was also said to have a short "buzzed" haircut.
