A Murfreesboro resident called the police department after unknown persons allegedly beat his dog. The pet owner noticed something was wrong with his dog when the dog refused to get up and leave his kennel. The man took the 10-month old Husky to the veterinarian and later confirmed that the dog died of a lacerated liver and also had 10 to 12 broken ribs.

Two possible suspects have been named, but an arrest has not been made. The case has been described as the Intentional Killing of an Animal.
