Murfreesboro Police responded to an address on Jetton Drive to assist a Meth Task Force Officer on Monday evening. Once in the home Officer Smith filed in a report, “I saw two bottles with residue consistent with a previous meth cook.” Smith also wrote, “I also found a pipe cutter commonly used to cut batteries to extract lithium, a precursor to meth manufacture.”

Outside of the home located at 1103 Jetton Drive, authorities found a gallon of muriatic acid (also called hydrochloric acid). Hydrochloric acid is a clear, colorless, highly-pungent solution of hydrogen chloride in water. It is a highly corrosive. Hydrochloric acid is found naturally in gastric acid. Evidence of a fire inside the house was also uncovered. Police wrote in their report that the fire was reportedly started while cleaning up a previous meth cook.

28-Year old Eric Jonathan Buckner was charged with the initiation of meth, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and possession of a legend (prescription) drug without a prescription. He is currently being held behind bars under a $36,000 bond. Buckner will appear in court on November 12, 2013.
