WGNS Totally Out of Blankets for Homeless...Help!

Another winter blast and the WGNS Blanket Brigade is totally out of blankets for local homeless. Please bring new blankets by WGNS at 306 South Church Street (pictures of a homeless camp WGNS visited Monday, 12/23/13).

With the thought of being a Good Neighbor, many years ago a listener suggested that the radio station give out blankets to homeless as a way to help them survive freezing temps. That person's dream has continued now for more than two decades.

The WGNS Blanket Brigade is out today (12/23/2013) giving out the last of the new blankets. Weather forecasters are predicting a really cold winter for this area.

Your help is needed. Churches, Sunday School classes, scout groups, neighborhoods and individuals can help others who are less fortunate with the donation of a new blanket. A gift of one blanket could save a life on a cold night. With everyone working together, many local persons can be helped.

There is a "blanket drop off box" inside WGNS radio (306 South Church Street, next to the Murfreesboro Police Department).  Thank you for your help!
