If legislators pass the new bill, package shops will be allowed to sell beer, cigarettes and food. However, the “Wine in Grocery Stores” bill would not allow for wine to be sold in big box retailers that sell regular retail merchandise like clothing and electronics in combination with grocery items. The bill also bans convenience stores from selling wine. It would only allow for supermarkets and traditional package shops to sell wine.
