Around 1:16 Monday afternoon, the Verizon Call Center in El Paso, TX received a call stating there was a bomb in the Murfreesboro Verizon call center. The caller stated that the bomb would explode in 2 minutes. At 1:55pm the MPD was notified by Verizon. Officers were then dispatched to investigate.
Sgt. Kyle Evans told WGNS at 5:45 PM, "With the assistance of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the MPD searched the Verizon call center this afternoon. No suspicious items were discovered. Detectives are investigating the incident."
