Suspicious vehicle fire in Murfreesboro - One arrested, but not for the fire

A suspicious vehicle fire was reported early Wednesday morning on Battleground Drive in Murfreesboro. According to police, the vehicle owner showed up and was acting uncooperative, yelling and cussing.

19-Year old Quintorieous Benford was arrested after police started investigating the fire. Benford was not arrested for starting the fire, he was arrested for allegedly creating a hostile scene with several of his friends and family members that kept arriving on the scene, according to Officer Simpson. Benford reportedly stated to the responding officer, "Maybe your car will burn next."

As far as why the vehicle was burning, it is still not known. Benford was arrested for "Disorderly Conduct." He had an existing charge of "disorderly conduct" that he has yet to appear in court for. Come August 28, 2014, he will face both disorderly conduct charges at the same time.
