At least 7 of the 9 subjects who were accused in the prank were MTSU Football Players. Because they were not arrested, we have not released their names.

Again, the incident was only a prank and no arrests were made after an investigation was conducted.

Head Football Coach Rick Stockstill stated:

"What started out as a playful prank by a group of freshmen could have turned into something worse. It's a valuable teaching lesson that I can use to help our young people. I talk to them daily about the violence going on in our country and how easily this could have turned into a similar situation. We will handle discipline internally.

"I am also very appreciative of the way Murfreesboro and University Police handled the situation and acted promptly."
