April 23rd marked the 9th year anniversary since the disappearance of 2 year old Analyce Guerra from Smyrna. She disappeared from her family's home during the early morning hours of April 23, 2006.

As a result, Smyrna Police and other law enforcement agencies initiated an intensive search to locate Analyce. On January 4th, 2008, Analyce's remains were found in a wooded area in Murfreesboro. The Medical Examiner later determined her death to be a homicide.

"Since no arrest has been made, the investigation into Analyce's disappearance and murder remains an active and on-going investigation. The Smyrna Police Department and the FBI are still investigating the crime and are constantly in search of information and leads that will lead to the arrest of the person responsible for Analyce's murder," according to Sgt. Bobby Gibson with the Smyrna Police Department.
