The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce continued it record number of ribbon cuttings. In fact, two new businesses were celebrated on Thursday (8/12/2011). Chamber officials brought the festive event to the new Mike Tomlin Automotive Group. This vehicle sales complex is located at 169 South Lowry Street in Smyrna.

The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce offers many services to new businesses in the area. These include everything from seminars on hiring and training personnel, to ways to use technology to make your business more efficient.

The Small Business Administration, which is located at the new Chamber building, helps entrepreneurs in the early stages of starting a business. Their free service helps with research to see if there is a need for the proposed business in this community, creating a good business plan and other start-up aides.

That same day, Chamber Ambassadors had a ribbon cutting at Complete Nutrition. This new business is located beside AT&T and in front of the Chop House, on the corner of Thompson Lane and Medical Center Parkway.

In addition to the two Thursday ribbon cuttings, the Chamber also had a celebration a few days earlier at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. It is located at 820 Medical Center Parkway, across from Toot's Good Food & Fun.
