Our WGNS / Rion Flower Shop Good Neighbors of the Day are two Murfreesboro Electric Linemen. Thanks to linemen Roy Wright and Michael Farless at Murfreesboro Electric, the Good Neighbor Station got back on the air quickly Wednesday morning. Murfreesboro Electric's Amy Byers said the problem was a "phase down," which is why WGNS temporaily lost power Wednesday morning. She explained that all of the rain weighted the trees down into the power lines, and that caused the power cable to snap. Quick work by Michael Farless and Roy Wright got NewsRadio WGNS back on the air within a short period of time.
