Motorists heading to Nashville on I-24 Wednesday morning (10/5/2011) were caught in gridlock traffic as a result of an overturned tractor trailer rig. The 18-wheeler was on the entrance ramp to the interstate at the Murfreesboro Road ramp. A fuel spill caused the Tennessee Department of Transportation to call hazmat units to clean the hazardous waste. The incident occured around 7:00 o'clock Wednesday morning, but the interstate ramp was shut-down for several hours.
