Jan 05, 2017 at 10:58 am by Bryan Barrett

Over $2,000 in pizza was charged to the credit card of a woman who lives on English Hill Drive in Murfreesboro. The woman told the police that she did not buy that much pizza, according to a police report filed on Wednesday.

Evidently, the victim only bought $9.87 worth of pizza from a local eatery, but she later noticed that $2,177.34 was charged to her card.

Needless to say, the case is under investigation and it is not known if it was a simple mistake or if someone was actually trying to defund the customer of her hard earned money.

Due to the situation possibly being a keyed in accident, WGNS is not releasing the name of the restaurant at this time.

No arrests have been made.
